Porridge: the family publishes an open letter of thanks on the internet: “We are succeeding”

The bassist’s family Rinaldo Oliveira Amaralor Porridgefrom the gang Outraged the Penalty, published an open letter of thanks this Friday the 8th via social media. Signed by Dona Zica, Marcelo and Adriana Amaral, Isabella and Annamaria Aglio, the message states that the relatives are going through “a very difficult time”, and underlines that they need support, empathy and “respect to overcome it”.

The musician was hit in the head in the early hours of Sunday 3rd, in Paraty, on the Costa Verde of Rio de Janeiro. During the day, he underwent emergency intracranial surgery. Police have arrested a man suspected of carrying out the shooting last Monday, 4.

“Thanks to God and the goodwill of countless people who mobilized to help Mingau after what happened on 02/09/2023, we are managing to win”, we read in the letter, which immediately after lists a series of names that the family I would also like to thank the authorities, institutions and the medical team of Mingau.

Also this Friday, the bassist’s daughter, Isabella Garlic, reiterated his thanks in his stories. “We remain firm and confident, with a lot of faith and with the certainty that we will soon celebrate the victory that gave my father his life back.” He also sent a message to Mingau saying the two still have “a lot to live for.”

Last Wednesday night, the musician underwent a new surgery on the night of Wednesday 6th. According to a statement released on Thursday 7th by the São Luiz do Itaim Hospital, Mingau underwent a decompressive craniectomy to control blood pressure of the skull. The operation, recommended by the neurosurgeon Manoel Jacobsen Teixeira, responsible for the case, lasted about two and a half hours. “His health conditions remain serious,” we read in the bulletin.
