Norwegian Princess Märtha Louise has announced her marriage to her lover, shaman and healer Durek Verrett. The celebration will take place on August 31, 2024. We’ll show you exactly where the princess and the shaman will take their vows.

The wedding will take place in Martha Louise’s native Norway, but not in the capital, but in the remote village of Geiranger, next to the fjord of the same name, considered one of the main natural attractions of the country.

The fjord, located 280 kilometers northwest of Oslo, is famous for its waterfalls, one of which is called Bridal Veil and Groom. Perhaps he inspired the romantic princess to choose Geiranger as the location for her wedding?

It really is a very isolated place. The population of the village is only around 300, but during the summer months the number of people increases significantly due to tourists and cruise ships. Next summer, residents will probably have to face a particular influx: the princess’s wedding will cause a sensation both among spectators and in the press.

By the way, Geiranger became the main location for the events of the 2015 Norwegian disaster film “The Wave” – well, now the place should have a more romantic touch.
