The actor spent 28 days in the hospital in Rio
Actor Luciano Szafir was discharged this Saturday, 11, after undergoing surgery to remove his colostomy bag. He was hospitalized from the 15th at the Copa D’Or Hospital, in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
The operation was performed on May 16 and was considered a success by the doctors. Earlier this month, he had an unexpected change in his stomach and had to stay hospitalized. The actor’s press secretary did not provide details, but said he was still on the mend.
The presenter started using the colostomy bag due to a perforation in the intestine while treating a pulmonary embolism, caused by a reinfection with covid-19. He has had the disease three times, the most recent in January of this year.
Outside the hospital, Szafir celebrated like a family. “Too happy to be back home. You can’t imagine how much I missed you,” he wrote on his Instagram.
