On her Instagram, the actress was torn about Kayky Brito, her brother who remains hospitalized after the serious accident. “And when you think you’ve been strong enough that nothing else can happen, God comes and puts another test to strengthen our faith and his love for us,” she said.
Without going into details, Sthefany said only that her three-year-old son had been hospitalized for at least two days: “Since yesterday [24/9] soon to the hospital with my son, and we are still here surrounded by so much love, patience, affection, care and superheroes. I’m heartbroken because I can’t be with my brother.”
It was serious, but it’s over
Despite the tension, the boy was released from medical care this Tuesday morning (16/9), after being treated for ocular cellulitis. “A mosquito bit his eye,” Sthefany explained in a video on Stories. “On Sunday he woke up with his right eye completely swollen, red and closed. He couldn’t open the eye, he couldn’t see out of his right eye and the pediatrician said: ‘Hospital’. I remember the feeling of my leg shaking when he said the word “Hospital”.
He explained that “the mosquito bite has become a gateway for the bacteria, he must have scratched it with his dirty little hand.”
Sthefany said she was in the hospital from Sunday until Tuesday. “And it was the best thing we did, primarily because I had never heard of ocular cellulitis,” she said. “Seriously, this is no joke.”
Ocular cellulitis is an infection or inflammation localized in the cavity where the eye and its appendages are located. In severe cases, the condition affects the deep tissues of the orbit or the eyelid region. Among the symptoms, the infection causes pain, swelling, blurred and red vision, as well as limited eye movement, fever and protrusion in the region.
“He’s fine, his eyes are already deflated, it seems like nothing has happened. Children are a blessing, right? Just as they fall, they get sick, they get up and recover quickly too. He’s fine and that’s what matters” , continued Stephany , who added laughing: “And I’m done. Oh, oh.”

The actress also regretted not having been able to see her brother, who was hospitalized after being hit, during her son’s hospitalization. “I’ve gotten messages: ‘I don’t know where you get your strength from.’ I don’t either. I have no idea. I think it comes from love. From love for my brother, from love for my most precious possession, which is my son, who needed me at a time when I thought I no longer had the strength.”
He concluded by thanking for the messages of support. “Enrico is already at home recovering and Kayky is following the same path.”
