Despite the announcement of their separation after 24 years of relationship, Sandy and Lucas Lima declared on Saturday 30th that they will continue to work together. In October the two will tour Europe, with shows scheduled in at least four cities.

On October 6th they will perform in Lisbon, then stop in Porto (8/10), Dublin (11/10) and London (13/10).

“We’re going to Europe, him [Lucas] I will participate in this tour, my family will be with me. The work remains and the family remains,” Sandy said during her appearance on the program Alta Horas, on TV Globo.

On Instagram, Sandy and Lucas shared a message saying the relationship had come to an end. While it doesn’t mention the words “breakup” or “divorce,” the lyrics say the two became great friends.

“It was not an easy decision, nor an impulsive one. It was practically 24 years of relationship and 15 years of marriage. With ups and downs, sometimes happier, sometimes less, but always whole and willing to do our best. And we did it. There was no fight, no hurt, no trauma… we could see that this was the best way and we will stop being a couple in the same way we were: with lots of love, respect and friendship infinite”, reads an excerpt from the statement.

The publication also asks for respect for family space in this delicate moment.

“And we know it’s too much to ask, but let’s ask it anyway: please respect our moment, our family. We have a beautiful 9-year-old son who needs all our love and care. We need this very intimate moment , difficult and private life should be lived with the same discretion with which we lived our happy and very successful relationship.
