Ana Furtado celebrates the end of cancer treatment in a video with Boninho

Presenter Ana Furtado celebrated the end of her cancer treatment with a video published on her social networks this Saturday 30th.

Alongside her husband Boninho, Ana shows the moment she takes the last pill and finishes the treatment. Excited, the presenter explains that she wanted to share the result with the presence of the director.

“I called you for a very special moment for me. Do you know what it is? It’s my last pill,” he says. “I wish you were here with me. It’s over! What a joy, I did it. We did it!”

In the comments, followers and personalities left their messages of support and celebrated together with the presenter. Singer Preta Gil, who recently underwent treatment for bowel cancer, wrote: “What a feeling, thank you for all the times you gave me a word of encouragement, you are a warrior.”

In May 2018, Ana Furtado publicly revealed her breast cancer diagnosis, highlighting the importance of self-examination and family support on her journey. After undergoing surgery to remove the tumor and undergoing post-operative treatment, including chemotherapy, the presenter achieved remission of the disease.

In April this year, Ana announced the launch of a book about her experience with breast cancer. The work aims to share their wishes, offer strength, demystify the disease and bring hope to other people facing similar challenges.
