R$30 million mansion and abandoned house: Hebe Camargo’s son explains his mother’s properties

Marcello Camargo spoke about all the properties attributed to the presenter and clarified who owns the properties

Only son of Hebe Camargo, Marcello Camargo he explained what happened to the properties where his mother once lived. It was recently announced that the residence where Hebe lived in his last years, defined by Marcello himself as “a white elephant”, is for sale for R$30 million.

After the news, Hebe’s son chose to clarify his relationships with this and other properties. In a video posted on his YouTube, Marcello explained that, in many cases, the properties were being treated Claudio Pessutti, Hebe’s nephew, who oversaw the presenter’s career. Pessutti died in 2021, of Covid-19.

In the video Marcello begins by talking about the first residence purchased by Hebe, in 1965, in the Sumaré district. “We started from there in 1979 – he says – The house was rented for a period, it was Claudio’s office and I decided to sell it when she died. Whoever bought it built a completely new house.”

Subsequently, Marcello and Hebe moved to a residence in the Morumbi neighborhood, with Leone Ravagnani, the presenter’s second husband. It was a property where the artist organized large parties and invited numerous famous people.

At some point the house gained another fame: it became known as “the abandoned mansion of Hebe Camargo”. They lived there for 21 years. However, Marcello revealed that the house was never actually owned by Hebe.

“Lélio built the house to live with my mother after marriage and it was very well inhabited. But, in 2000, when he died, we moved from there and the property passed to his family,” he said. “We never went back there. They did a lot of sensational things, but the house never belonged to us.”

Claudio Pessutti also owned another property, which was attributed to Hebe in 2021, when it was put up for sale. It was a villa in Tabatinga Beach, on the coast of Sao Paulo.

“My mother loved going there and even had her own room in the house, in addition to her personal items. But it was Claudio’s”, underlined Marcello. “It had already been sold and the new buyers decided to sell it later. When that happened, they repeated that the house belonged to Hebe.”

Furthermore, he underlined that the villa where his mother lived in recent years is entrusted to the care of Elena, Pessutti’s widow. “Claudio paid as if it were rent until it was sold,” she said. According to him, it was she who lived in the property after the death of the presenter – and he has no desire to live there.

“[Claudio] he took over many of my debts at that time. He was very attached to the house, but after her death he became even sadder,” she stressed. “The agreement I have with Helena is that I will receive a fixed amount, regardless of the selling price of the house. It is very expensive to maintain. I don’t want to live there.”

Marcello currently lives in Santa Fe, in Sao Paulo. He is Hebe’s only son and, after Claudio’s death, he became the owner of the presenter’s image.
