Lucas Lima Reveals He Suffered Negative Comments After Split From Sandy: ‘It Was Very Difficult’

Luca Lima revealed that she had difficulty dealing with the negative comments she received after announcing her separation from the singer sandy. The two were together for 24 years, 15 of which were married.

The musician declared this to the magazine Maria Chiara backstage at the Bibi Ferreira Awards, where he won the New Musical Award Once upon a time, the musical last Tuesday, 5pm, in Sao Paulo.

“It was a little surprising. We didn’t expect it to be this big and we didn’t expect it to be this bad either. But we were determined. We talked a lot. We love each other very much and we are best friends. We have a beautiful son and we are very determined to give so much love, affection and the best creation possible,” Lucas said.

“What surprised me was the violent part of people’s reactions. But it’s over. Now it seems calmer. I couldn’t protect myself. I didn’t protect myself. I suffered like hell. It was really heavy. Now the attention is all about our son, which is our biggest project. And maintaining this incredible relationship that we’ve built for 24 years,” he added.

Sandy and Lucas announced their separation on September 25 in a post shared on Instagram. They said at the time that the decision had been made jointly and that there had been no clashes.

Subsequently, they appeared in the program High hoursfrom TV Globo, and Lucas also accompanied Sandy on his programs in Europe.

The two married in 2008 in an intimate ceremony in Campinas, in the hinterland of Sao Paulo. Before that, however, the couple had already experienced two breakups. The first occurred at the very beginning of the relationship, due to the difficulty of being together due to distance and schedule conflicts. The second dates back to 2002, due to problems in the relationship.
