Deva worries about David
After a terrible work session with Hippolyte the day before, David hadn’t slept a wink all night. Waking up beside him, Deva tries to reassure him about the lunch service, confident that he will provide. To comfort him, the young girl begins to get physical, but David breaks it off. He explains that he has a meeting with Hippolyte in half an hour and promises his girlfriend that he will finish it later.
In class, Deva is worried about David’s behavior. He talks to Billy about it, who suspects that the couple has moved into a phase where sex isn’t as regular anymore. Tom, who overhears their conversation, rather thinks that David still hasn’t grasped Deva’s remarks about his legitimacy to be maître d’hôtel. Deva is completely lost and worried. Billy reassures him, confident that David would tell the truth if there was a real problem between them.
At Double A, Lisandro proudly celebrates David’s transformation into a perfect hotel. He reassures her that he brought Hippolyte to the Institute. He also remembers his own training next to him when he was just a slob who passed the time between shifts smoking. Since then, he has not touched a cigarette.
During the set-up, Hippolyte calls David to order her as a butler. The young man looks scared and confused. He admits that he does not support the methods Hippolytus used on him the day before. The latter then asks him to list the steps involved in cutting a bird. David quotes them without any error. Hippolytus sees this as proof that his methods are useful.
During the service, Hippolytus, Lysandro, and Teisius observe David. The director of the institute admits that there is progress and personally congratulates the young man. Hippolyte takes David aside, and Deva is in charge of taking the room. Before leaving Double A, Tessier whispers to Lisandro that the Institute has nothing to lose by his departure.
At the end of the service, Deva finds Lisandro to confront Teyssier. The former butler thanks him, then admits that he left peacefully after finding his replacement. He thinks Hippolytus has a slightly archaic mindset, but he is an excellent teacher. However, after her mentor leaves, Deva questions her aspirations. He explains that he wants us to meet in the kitchen and thus gives up his seat to David, without regret.
Meanwhile, David finishes his work in the room. He thanks Hippolytus for believing in him and giving him advice to improve. He also apologizes to her for not believing in the effectiveness of his methods. Hippolytus admits that he can be tough, but is rarely funny. She is happy that David understood her purpose because the hardest part is yet to come…
Vicky and Maya discover the identity of the attacker
In class, Maya and Vicky blame them for a sleepless night. They spent the whole night with Enzo awake because no one entered their room. Chef Listrak quickly notices that the two young girls are too overwhelmed by the recipe to prepare. They tell him about the incident that happened in the boarding house the day before. Lystrak urges them to speak to Miriel about it immediately.
Maya and Vicky go to his office to explain the problem. In the face of questions from the deputy director, they are also forced to say that the investigation led them in his direction. Miriel immediately defends herself. He arranges for them to meet at the commissary to watch CCTV footage of where the intruder must have come to get supplies while he cooks in the kitchen for the night.
Maya, Vicky, and Enzo find Mairiel at the commissary a little later and watch the surveillance footage together. A silhouette appears for the first time from behind, wearing a robe that belongs to Miriel. When the figure turns around, everyone sees Enzo’s face. The latter is shocked because he does not remember about it. Vicky then notices that he is walking without crutches.
At the park, Enzo tells Vic and Maya that he’s been sleepwalking forever, but hasn’t had an episode in a while. Vicki focuses mainly on the fact that she can walk without crutches and suggests that she try again. Enzo takes it. Vicky and Maya support him to one side, then let him go and walk alone.
Carla reveals her secret to Suleiman
Carla is being evaluated at the clinic. In particular, he admits that he suffers from constant nausea, especially during lessons when he has to take care of the food. Constance suggests that she talk to management about her pregnancy in order to get a place to live. But Carla is not yet ready to reveal her pregnancy in broad daylight.
For Chef Guino’s course, first years are priced at duck. Balsamic aiguillettes should be prepared in one hour. If Suleiman is excited because he worked on this recipe in advance, the smell of Carla’s duck completely destabilizes him. Suleiman suspects that she wants to join him, but Carla says that she will do it alone.
However, Carla has trouble controlling her nausea. When he leaves his needles in the burning pan, Souleymane comes to his aid and moves them out of the fire. As Chef Guinot tries to find out the source of the problem, Suleiman takes responsibility for the incident and claims to be in a relationship with Carla. Disturbed that he came to her aid again, Carla thanks him. They continue the recipe together. Thanks to Suleiman’s good performance, they got 18/20 points.
They are going to celebrate together at the Coffee Shop. Souleymane then tries to figure out what has been wrong with Carla since the beginning of the school year when she came second in the competition. Defensively, the young girl initially says that everything is fine. Seeing Suleiman leaving, she detains him. After making him promise not to repeat her secret, Carla reveals to him that she is pregnant.
