Hebe Camargo’s son, Marcello Camargo, used social media to mourn the death of actress Lolita Rodrigues this Sunday, 5. She died at the age of 94 in João Pessoa, Paraíba, due to complications from pneumonia .

In an interview with columnist Anna Luiza Santiago, of the newspaper O Globo, Marcello Camargo said he considered Lolita a “second mother”, as she and Hebe were great friends.

“I am very saddened by the departure of our Lola. But she had a beautiful life, a full life. She shone on television and throughout her career. She always told me that she was my second mother,” he said.

“I always thank God for having had the privilege of having a mother like Hebe Camargo and a second mother like Lolita Rodrigues. I am absolutely sure that today my mother is at the gates of heaven waiting for Lola. They will continue together. They have had a beautiful friendship here now it will continue there,” added Hebe’s son.

On Instagram, Marcello published a photo of Lolita with the caption: “Today our beloved Lola left us, my second mother, as she always said. I’m sure that today my mother will welcome her with so much love, this lifelong friend “. and eternity! I love you Lola!”

Lolita has lived in João Pessoa since 2015 with her daughter, Dr. Sílvia Rodrigues. She was admitted to Nossa Senhora das Neves hospital. Her death was registered at 4.30 am and her body will be cremated in a ceremony reserved for family members.
