David Rainne, announced as Moschino’s new creative director less than a month agohe died on Friday 10th, at the age of 46, in Milan.

Born in Tuscany, Davide gained notoriety having been responsible for the women’s line at Gucci for 20 years, passing through Moschino.

In an official statement on social media, Moschino mourned the designer’s death, underlining the surprise, given that they had recently started working together.

“There are no words to describe the pain we feel in this dramatic moment. Davide came to us only a few days ago when a sudden illness took him away too soon. We still can’t believe what happened. With Davide we were working on an ambitious project, in a climate of enthusiasm and optimism for the future. Despite being with us for a short period, Davide immediately managed to make himself loved and respected. Today we remain responsible for carrying forward what we his imagination and the creativity they had imagined. Our deepest condolences go to his family and friends”, stated Massimo Ferretti, President of Aeffe SpA.
