Supla reveals on podcast that his girlfriend cheated on him with his bandmate: ‘I sent him away’

The singer and songwriter Supla, always ‘sincere’, told the details of his love life in the podcast Bagaceira Chique, by host Luciana Gimenez. Supla, who told the channel he was a “boutique punk”, revealed details about him when he was cheated on by his girlfriend and a musician who worked in his band.

“It hurts [a traição]…he was still a guy who worked with me. [Foi] horrible. Who likes to punch? I finished [o namoro]. I kicked him out of the band. I felt betrayed at that moment,” he said. Supla said he was “a little jealous,” but that this feeling is part of being human.

Despite having suffered the betrayal of his girlfriend and colleague, Supla declared that he had already been on the other side of the counter, that is, that he had also cheated.

“I lost my girl who I loved, but it’s been a while. We learn, sometimes we don’t even learn, but that’s life.”

Supla, from Sao Paulo, also spoke about his habit of mixing English and Portuguese when he speaks, which he said his mother, former senator Marta Suplicy, disapproves of.

“My mother said, ‘my son, I find it very distasteful when you speak in English.’ Mother, that has become my brand,” Supla said, regarding the response she gave to her mother.
