Singer Preta Gil announced on Monday the 11th that she was cured of cancer. After the last surgery, performed about 10 days ago, to reconstruct the intestinal tract and reverse the ilestomy, Preta has completed his cancer treatment.

The artist celebrated the milestone with a thank you to his fans and friends and an invitation to a show celebrating Bloco da Preta’s 15th anniversary.

“I beat bowel cancer, I won this battle,” he said.

Preta explained that he continues the rehabilitation process and will require medical monitoring for another five years. “It’s a more delicate process, I have to relearn how to perform my physiological functions and this requires a lot of dedication, a lot of pelvic physiotherapy,” she said.

According to her, it is normal for patients in remission from cancer to continue with periodic consultations and tests. “I will do whatever the doctors tell me to do,” she continued confidently.
