Influencer and former BBB Jade Picon has confirmed to fans her presence in the cast of Globo’s new soap opera, “Travessia”. Globo had announced Jade together with the cast, in the early afternoon of Monday (20/6). She will perform with famous artists such as Alexandre Nero, Chay Suede, Rômulo Estrela, Lucy Alves, Giovanna Antonelli, Alessandra Negrini, Vanessa Giácomo, Rodrigo Lombardi, Drica Moraes, Humberto Martins, Ailton Graça, Dandara Mariana and Bel Kutner.
Jade Picon’s debut as an actress has generated controversy, with several protests from actors and demonstrations from the Sated-RJ (Sindicato dos Artistas do Rio de Janeiro). The organization’s president, Hugo Gross, regretted her choice of Globo, saying he didn’t think it was right “for her to take a space” from the actors.
Despite this, he received special permission from Sated-RJ to star in the soap opera, as a “quota” of non-professional actors that the entire company has the right to include in its productions – three at most.
