Mingau, from Ultraje a Rigor, is discharged from hospital after being shot

Good news for Mingau fans: the family announced, on Monday 8th, that the Ultraje a Rigor musician has been discharged from hospital and is moving on to a new phase of rehabilitation, motor and functional. In a post on the “Juntos pelo Mingau” profile, they thanked their fans and friends for their support.

According to the medical report, the musician underwent three surgeries. He became contagious, but he recovered and the team released him for discharge. Again according to the bulletin published by G1the patient left the unit without sedation, breathing spontaneously and with good neurological progress.

In November, Mingau’s family created a fundraiser to help pay for treatment.

Remember the case

On the night of September 3rd, Rinaldo Oliveira Amaralknown as Mingau, bassist of the band Outraged the Penalty, was the target of a robbery attempt in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro. The musician was hit in the head during the attack and was found in serious condition.

The attack occurred around 11pm, when the bassist was driving at high speed near Praça do Ovo, located in the Ilha das Cobras neighbourhood. According to police information, the criminals surrounded the vehicle and fired numerous shots, hitting the musician in the head.

The medical team at the Hugo Miranda municipal hospital, where Mingau was initially treated, reported that the musician was hospitalized with a serious wound caused by a gunshot wound to the head. He was subsequently transferred to the São Luiz do Itaim hospital, in Sao Paulo, on a plane equipped with intensive care provided by the air taxi company Air Jet.

At a press conference held on September 5, shortly after the incident, the doctors responsible for the case reported that the bullet hit the left hemisphere of the artist’s brain and passed through his skull.

On December 14, Mingau was honored in a charity show at the Bradesco Theater. Dinho Ouro Preto, Kiko Zambianchi, Leo James There were a few names who attended the presentation.

The event raised funds for the bassist’s recovery treatment. Murilo Couto and Juliana Oliveira, from the program The nightwere the presenters.

Also in December Isabella Aglio, daughter of the bassist PorridgeFrom Rigor of indignation, shared a video on his Instagram showing his father making the motion of giving him a kiss.
