Then, Evaristo said he was surprised by urinary sepsis, a set of serious manifestations produced by an infection that can start in a single organ. Possible complications of Crohn’s disease include urinary tract infections, kidney stones, and gallstones. It is also possible to have strictures (narrowing of the intestine), formation of fistulas (abnormal connections between organs), abscesses and polyps.

“I am happy that I was transferred on time and that I am receiving the right treatment in an excellent NHS hospital (free of charge). For now there are no plans to discharge, administer intravenous drugs and wait for the effect of the antibiotics and remission of Crohn’s disease”, completed.

Some of the symptoms that brought Evaristo to the emergency room were diarrhea (due to the illness it may contain blood), fever and weight loss. In hospital he had to resort to morphine to relieve the pain.

“All this leads to weakness and fatigue. Low immunity leaves my body open to the entry of viruses and bacteria, as happened with my leg a month ago. If I don’t take care of myself, I can have complications such as anemia and serious infections,” he added. .

Evaristo should be discharged from hospital on Saturday the 13th, after tests were carried out and his symptoms had disappeared. However, the doctors have not yet released him. “I’m still in the right place and in good hands,” he concluded.
