The actor gave life to the character Luca in the series Além do Guarda Roupa, on HBO Max
At the age of 18, living in the United States, he decided to take his first steps in the profession by choosing film school. Despite his doubts, the collection of videos his parents made when he was little was the reassurance he needed. He joined the renowned New York Film Academy (NYFA)in Los Angeles, where he had great experiences and further solidified his certainty that he wanted to act as a profession.
Before that, the passion for art and acting were already present in the actor’s life and predestined. “It’s really crazy to think about our destiny, our future, especially when we’re very young. That question always pops into our heads: ‘what will we become when we grow up?’. I honestly didn’t know. “And it took me a long time to find out. But this was inside me since I was little, and then I understood. I only realized it when I was 18, when I decided and defined that I wanted to be an actor. But I already knew “I had this in my veins since I was born, I already had this artistic streak. It took me a while to understand that this was exactly what I would do for a living”, adds Gabriel Coppola.
How did you choose acting?
Even at such a young age, choosing a profession is one of the greatest certainties in life for an artist. When asked in other interviews if he had ever seen himself in other areas, the answer is definitive and clear. For Gabriel Coppola, acting takes us back to childhood and brings with it many dreams.
“It’s really crazy when people ask me if I could see myself doing something else and what acting means in my life, because whether I like it or not, it’s the certainty of my whole life, you know? I don’t think I would do anything else. more”, underlines the actor. “I had opportunities and choices to choose to do something else. I didn’t choose and it wasn’t something I thought about, it just happened. I really believe in destiny and I think that choice was already made when I was born.”
Regarding what drives him in his career, he adds: “I would say that what drives me is being able to dream, dream about the future and fall in love even without knowing that future yet. And I’m already very much in love with him and what he still has. preparing for me. Also, the possibilities also move me. There are thousands of possibilities, roles, scripts. Countless different characters that I can receive and have the opportunity to play… There are so many things that I aspire to do and act The possibilities are practically endless and that’s incredible,” concludes the actor.
