Rodrigo Simas says he was afraid of losing his job after revealing his sexual orientation; watch the video

Rodrigo Simas revealed that it took him a while to admit his sexual orientation because he feared missing out on TV job opportunities. The actor revealed that he is bisexual last year.

In an interview on the program In the swimming pool with Fê Paes Leme (GNT), this Tuesday, the 23rd, said: “It took me a while to realize that I was bisexual because I didn’t know that it was okay to be, that it wasn’t being on the fence, you know?”

“[Eu pensava] Am I homosexual? Oh no, I’m right. Oh, I can’t, because of my profession I won’t get any more roles. You know, I’m talking about ten, twelve years ago,” she explained. Then she reflected:

“We live in a very hypocritical society, where people can’t be who they are. And then the right thing, you know, the religious and social place where they place heteronormativity, the family… And it imprisons a lot of people.”

Finally, Rodrigo concluded: “Every person has their moment… Their process, and if you want too, but it has this importance when you are a public person and you have all this visibility.”
