Buckingham Palace released a statement with information
It is not prostate cancer, but it was discovered during his recent treatment for an enlarged prostate. The type of cancer was not revealed.
According to the note, the king began “regular treatment” today. Buckingham Palace also told the king “He remains completely positive about the treatment he has received and hopes to return to public service as soon as possible.”
No further details about the cancer’s stage or prognosis were shared.
