Anitta’s meeting with King Charles III was not characterized by “afternoon tea” but rather by important discussions about the environment. During the sixth edition of the Sephora Halloween Ball, in Sao Paulo, this Saturday 18th, the singer recounted in detail the moment next to the British monarch.

“I didn’t have afternoon tea, it was an important meeting to give visibility to the issue of the environment. You know that it is a cause that I care a lot about. Mainly to bring this idea of balance. My idea is never to convey that we can’t have anything and we have to give up everything. It’s always about having a balance. If everyone gives up a little, it’s already a big difference in the world,” he says in a conversation with journalists.

Scientists, businesspeople and indigenous leaders, such as Chief Raoni Metuktire, also attended the event focused on green solutions in London.

“My main goal has always been, especially right now, to talk about this preservation with Chief Raoni, who to me is the biggest name in our country. It’s immensely important,” he explains.

In the midst of the fight for the environmental cause, Anitta returned to live in Brazil after about four years spent in the United States. The singer, however, guarantees that the decision has no relation to the agenda.

“I missed being at home, with my family, close to friends. Next year I will focus more on Brazil, yes. More like being at home. Then I don’t know, how I feel. No, the fact that I am in Brazil has nothing to do with it [causa ambiental]. I really defend it, but I’m in Brazil more out of an emotional desire,” he adds.
