Nutritionist goes viral on social media after showing necrosis after getting lip fillers

The nutritionist Barbara Martiniano27, went viral this week when she ranted on social media about a lip filler she had done at a beauty clinic in a shopping mall in João Pessoa, Paraíba.

In the video she shows the disastrous result of the surgery, carried out in December 2023. The young woman began to feel pain in her lips and discovered that the region was necrotic.

When he looked for the clinic, the professional who helped him was away from work. Another doctor quickly looked at her and sent her on her way, saying everything was normal, including the peeling. Four days later, Bárbara managed to be examined by the professional who performed the operation.

After four anaesthesia, a lot of swelling and pain to remove the hyaluronic acid and apply an enzyme to break down the substance, the nutritionist had an allergic reaction to the substance.

“After applying the enzyme and removing the hyaluronic acid, he sent me home. Only while I was in the car did I receive a message from the clinic telling me to take an anti-allergy drug, but they didn’t even tell me the dosage. But it was too late, because I was already having an allergic reaction”, he said, who was advised by a dentist friend to urgently go to the emergency room.

“I went to a UPA and at the same time they injected corticosteroids and other drugs into my vein. I cried a lot, I felt an obstruction in my throat and a lot of pain in my neck,” reported. After the fallout from the video the woman posted, the clinic contacted her and said it sympathized with the case.

“They also asked me how much I had spent on medicine to cover the costs. I replied: ‘This for me is nothing compared to everything I’ve been through. I almost died’. But they never contacted me again. Despite all this, I’m thinking of denouncing the establishment,” he said.

After the report, other clinics have already offered to carry out the operation, but she claims that she is traumatized at the moment. “I would only do it if it were with a specialist I have a lot of trust in, but for now I don’t want to do it. I also thought about many other aesthetic issues that I would have liked.”
