Actor Edson Caldas Barboza passed away in early February
Rio de Janeiro civil police confirmed the identity of the body and are investigating the case as robbery (robbery followed by death). Edson was known for his participation in the soap opera Genesisfrom Record TV.
According to information from the Civil Police, Edson’s body was found in a wooded area. The actor had gunshot wounds. The investigation of the case is entrusted to the Baixada Fluminense homicide police station.
The death of Edson Caldas Barboza has caused an uproar among friends, family and co-workers. On social media, many artists mourned the loss and expressed solidarity with the actor’s family.
