
Actress Mary Mara, known for her work on the series “Nash Bridges” and “Medical On Call” (ER), died on Sunday (6/26) drowning in St. Lawrence in Cape Vincent, New York. She was 61 years old.
The statement released by the New York Police Department reports that she was found in the river Sunday morning by firefighters and preliminary investigations indicate that she drowned while swimming, but an autopsy will be performed to determine the official cause of death. A representative of Mara’s family said she was staying in her sister Martha Mara’s summer home in Syracuse, on a riverside property.
Mary Mara began her career in 1989 in the telefilm “Murder in Central Park”. Subsequently, she worked as an actress in various television and film roles, as well as acting in plays on the off-Broadway circuit and in Los Angeles.
