After strong controversy, Regina Volpato makes the statement public: ‘Ignorance’

This Monday (15/04), the presenter Queen Volpato he took to social media to explain himself. She is accused of practicing serophobia (prejudice against people with HIV) after a video went viral.

On social media she appeared with a clean face and declared: “I must apologize and retract my feelings towards the people I have offended due to my ignorance and lack of information in the video I posted yesterday. I have deleted the video and anyone who knows me knows that I am not the type to delete content when I commit a mistake, because I prefer to admit the mistake. However, in the case of this video, it was more than a mistake.”.

And he continued: “It was prejudice, misinformation… However, I practiced something that I didn’t even know the name of, something called serophobia. So I truly apologize and I have already looked for information on the subject. I must thank you for the extremely respectful tone with which people they caught my attention”.

“These were insightful and informative comments, comments that made me regret this video so much… Thank you so much to all the people who treated me this way and kept me informed. Were there people swearing? There were! But I kind of understand. It’s all good and part of the package.”he concluded.
