Next May 1st will mark 30 years since the death of one of the greatest national idols, Ayrton Senna. As a tribute to the pilot, Adriana Galisteu she recalled moments the couple had and conversations she had with her boyfriend about personal dreams and goals. The presenter also said that she has learned to prioritize her aspirations with the Formula 1 star.

Senna died in a car accident at the San Marino Grand Prix, Italy, in 1994, aged 34. Despite being one of the biggest names in the sport and visiting much of the world to drive his race car, Galisteu says his boyfriend was far from realizing his innermost dreams.

In the program In Seinewhich will air on May 1st on ESPN and Star+, the host recalls that the driver died without even achieving his greatest personal goals: becoming a father, competing for Ferrari and going to Disney.

Ayrton Senna and Adriane Galisteu were lovers when the driver died

“I say he died without realizing his three biggest dreams. He had the dream of racing in Ferrari, he didn’t realize it. He had the dream of having a child, I don’t think he managed to realize it. There was a ‘ there’s a rumor that he had a daughter, I don’t know how this story ended, but he didn’t become a father. It’s a dream to meet Disney, I mean: the most obvious thing in the world, to meet Disney.” Galisteu explained.

It is precisely because of this feeling of seeing a loved one leave without realizing their greatest dreams that, today, the presenter ensures that she gives priority to her personal desires and goals. “I brought this into my life. I am a woman who makes my dreams come true,” she said.

Galisteu met Senna when she was 20, at a party celebrating the driver’s victory at the Interlagos GP in March 1993. When she received the news of his death, she was in Portugal, waiting to meet her boyfriend in Italy when the race was over.

The program in honor of Senna will be broadcast on May 1st

In addition to the presenter, the entrepreneur Geraldo Rodrigues and former Formula 1 driver Cristiano Fittipaldi will also participate in the program.
