Gospel singer Mandisa, who competed on American Idol and won the Grammy for best Christian music album, has died at the age of 47
“We can confirm that Mandisa was found dead in her home yesterday. We ask for your prayers for her family and close circle of friends during this incredibly difficult time. Mandisa was a voice of encouragement and truth for people facing life’s challenges around the world“, we read in the text.
After the announcement of the artist’s death, the American Christian radio station K-Love paid tribute to the singer. “Mandisa loved Jesus and used her unusually large platform to talk about Him at every turn. Her kindness was epic, her smile was electric, her voice was enormous, but she couldn’t compete with the size of her heart.”declared David Pierce.
It is worth mentioning that Mandisa was present in ‘American Idol’ in 2005, and embarked on a career as a gospel singer, releasing 6 albums, her latest work was released in 2017. She was also nominated for a Grammy and won the best Christian music album category with ‘Eating too much’launched in 2013.
