According to Liliane, originally from Igaraçu do Tietê, in the hinterland of São Paulo, the twins will be fitted with skin expanders from the age of eight months to close the openings left by the separation surgery. “A separation surgery will be performed at approximately 1 year of age. However, vaccinations must be up to date for immunity reasons,” she explained.

At six months, Kiraz and Aruna have three legs, but each will have one part of the lower limb of the body. “The bones of the third will be used to reconstruct the pelvis”, explained the mother, who takes care of the girls alone and shares her routine on social media with more than 30 thousand followers, the same ones who help with the donations of diapers and milk.
