The actress Samara Philip45 years old, he was moved when he spoke about the racist attack that her daughter Alicia suffered during her last week at school. According to the artist, some students – it is not known how many – damaged her daughter’s work and wrote a racist expression in her notebook.

“I came home and saw Alicia hunched over the table, having to redo every line [do trabalho]. She cried compulsively because they had ruined her work. It’s impossible not to get angry, no mother would want that. They tore up all the pages of her work, inside her notebook there was a very serious racist phrase. I’m not here to stone the school. The action they took was important, but it remains an imperfect anti-racist project,” said Samara Felippo in an interview with Fantástico.

Daniel Helene, representative of elite private school, acknowledged that the episode was a failure in the institution’s anti-racist project. However, contrary to what the actress would like, the management does not intend to expel the students. According to him, it would not be pedagogical to address the situation in this way, given that the teachers are not repeat offenders.

“Without a doubt we recognized the racist act from the first moment. The attackers will be suspended indefinitely so that the school can understand what happened and how to proceed. If we saw that the girls were repeat delinquents, we could consider expulsion, but for them it is not like that. Living in an anti-racist school means thinking: what do we do?”, he told Sunday.

For Felippo, the desire for expulsion is linked to his daughter’s mental well-being, as Alicia will have to face the attackers again when she returns to school. In the meantime, the teenager receives support from his family and takes advantage of the moment to redo the work that was destroyed.

“Alicia is very shy, very reserved, very loving, very sensitive. It’s very nice to see her being able to say everything she needs to. Protecting her from that isn’t really possible, but I’m making her aware of the power she has.” she has her and that she can occupy the space she wants,” she concludes Samara Philip.
