Met Gala 2024: discover the best looks of celebrities on the red carpet

On Monday evening (6), the entrance to the Met museum in New York welcomed the main celebrities of the moment for the first time I met Gala. The charity evening was themed “Sleeping Beauties: Fashion Renaissance“. However, the dress code for guests was “The garden of time“.

On the red carpet, considered one of the most exclusive in the world, we saw celebrities such as Zendaya, Bruna Marquezine, Chris Hemsworth, Amanda Seyfried and much more posing for photos. However, we can say that not everyone understood the dress code well.

Starting with Puerto Rican Bad Bunny, the rapper wore a custom suit by John Galliano for Maison Margiela. Among the flowers chosen to compose my look were the Flor de Maga — the national flower of Puerto Rico —, a rose, which represents beauty and purity and the flax plant, responsible for the famous “Sleeping Beauty” scene. Bosco”, which referred to one of the themes of the dance.

Bruna Marquezine

Did you think our Brazilian representative would be left off the list? You thought he was wrong! Bruna Marquezine wore Tory Burch for her first Met Gala appearance. Even though it was a simpler dress, the elegance played its part for the event!

Emma Chamberlain

Digital influencer Emma Chamberlain was one of the first people to be photographed at this year’s Met Gala. Emma appeared in a beautiful (and custom) Jean-Paul Gaultier dress, straight from the Fall 2003 catalogue.

Another masculine look full of references, we have the Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time world champion of the category paid homage to John Ystumllyn, Wales’ first black groundsman, with a Burberry suit.

Singer Tyla wore a somewhat controversial look by Balmain. The dress was made with three different colors of sand and scattered micro crystals. Right on topic, right? However, the dispute came at the time of transportation. Due to the style of the dress, the singer had a lot of difficulty moving around the red carpet, even having to carry herself up the famous Met Gala staircase.

Ultimately, Zendaya ended the night by taking everyone by surprise and reappearing on the red carpet in a second dress. This time the “Rivals” actress was dressed all in black. However, the real touch that indicated the theme of the dance came in her hair, where we could see a kind of bouquet like a hat.
