Former Faustão dancer and now known as the “Queen of Kwai”, Markley Oliveira He talked about how he got started with virtual soap operas, dramatic productions posted on social media. According to her, she left home at 11 to work with the public, the opportunity came when she was about to give up her career as an influencer.

“I almost gave up. It never crossed my mind to give up, but that’s when I said, ‘Man, this really isn’t for me. […] God doesn’t look at me, he’s never seen me, I’m not for that.’ Then, out of nowhere, someone said, ‘Don’t you want to make a soap opera, soap operas from China? Do it your way, copy it and publish it.’ And then I started,” says Markelly, in an interview with Sala de TV, from Earthaired this Wednesday 8th.

Amateur productions full of twists and turns are quite successful on the video platform. Within this niche, the application has grown in China and Markelly replicates the strategy in Brazil. The actress already has more than 10.5 million followers on Kwai.

According to her, the first publication was well received by the public and went viral.

“In the first month it went viral. Compared to the views it had in the past, two years ago, the highest it reached was 200,000, 300,000 and mine was 1 million. And I thought, ‘Isn’t this a coincidence?’ ‘”, she recalls, proudly: “I can express myself, express who I am through my stories and everywhere I go people say: ‘You changed my life, I was on the edge of the cliff and I watched a video that.’ It changed my life.”

The actress says she cuts a 1.5-hour recording down to two minutes, always giving priority to the narrative. As for her inspirations, she says she takes references from her own experiences or other people’s lives.

“I had an idea, I was talking on the street, I said: ‘This gives a script’. Or I saw you talking, [e dizia] ‘Go ahead, tell me more about this story.’ And I also have a lot of history. Wow, I have a million stories of my own. So it’s a mix of everything,” she reveals.

Makelly says he plans to create a campaign in the future so followers can contribute ideas to create itineraries.
