This actress did not enter “The Wolf of Wall Street”: she was considered old for DiCaprio

It happens that you watch a movie and realize what a jewelry job the casting director has done – all the actors have gotten so used to the role, and you can’t imagine anyone else in their place. But it is sometimes terribly interesting to know which of the candidates auditioned for a particular role!

So, one day we came across an interesting fact about the movie “The Wolf of Wall Street”. If you haven’t watched this film (and we recommend that you correct this misunderstanding immediately!), then we will tell you the basics: according to the plot, Leonardo DiCaprio’s hero meets a girl named Naomi Lapaglia , performed by 22-year-old Margot Robbie.

It’s interesting that initially she applied for this role…damn it! Olivia Wilde. In one of the interviews, the actress said she was turned down for the role, saying she was “too polished”. “Sounds good,” I thought. But later it turned out that they actually meant ‘old,'” Olivia admitted.

The fact is also surprising because at the time of filming she was only 28 years old! Nevertheless, these tests did not end in complete failure for Wilde: the director of the film, Martin Scorsese, invited her to his other project – the Vinyl series.
