The model confirmed the alleged love affair with the singer in the 80s; see excerpt from the interview
Roberta Close stated that he had a love affair with Erasmo Carlos in the past. The statement was made in an interview on the Papagaio Falante podcast this week. When asked about the possible relationship, he replied: “I wanted to date Roberto Carlos. In the end I stayed with Erasmo.”
“We didn’t live together, but I met Roberto and Erasmo. When we met it was at a party. I was in the garage, I knew the artists…”, said the model. The two reportedly met in 1984, when she was in her 20s.
Roberta starred in the music video Close, released by the musician in the 1980s. In the past he has denied that she was his inspiration, and both had already denied an alleged romance at the time. Erasmo Carlos died in November 2022, aged 81.
