Rob Schneider criticizes “cancel culture” after being booed for jokes at a charity event

According to witnesses, the comedian shocked Canadian audiences with humor that included “transphobia, misogyny and anti-vaccine statements.”

The actor Rob Schneider demonstrated his dissatisfaction with the so-called “cancel culture” during a brief interview with a journalist from the Page Six website, from New York PostSaturday evening, 8.

When asked “what do you have to say about cancel culture?”, the comedian was direct: “It’s over!” The comment was made shortly after CBC News reported a negative public reaction towards Rob during his performance at the Four Season Ball, a benefit event for the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, a healthcare institution in Canada.

According to the website, a man named Tynan Allan, who was present, said Schneider made “transphobic, misogynistic and anti-vaccine” jokes. “Everyone in the room was muttering, saying ‘what’s going on?’, sometimes without a single laugh.”

There were also reports of booing and people getting up and leaving. The comedian was allegedly asked to end his performance earlier than agreed because he did not meet the expectations of the audience and the organization. The organization later released a statement regarding the case.

“We do not condone, accept, approve or share the opinions of Mr. Rob Schneider expressed during his comedy show and that in this sense the performance did not meet the expectations of our audience and our team.”

“An unconditional apology was immediately offered to our guests and our community. We reiterate today that sincere and unconditional apology for any offense caused by Mr. Rob Schneider,” he said.
