A success in the 80s, the singer Nahim Jorge Elias Júnior, known as Nahim, died this Thursday, 13, at the age of 71, in Taboão da Serra, Greater São Paulo.

The information was confirmed by the Military Police to SBT. The company reported that it is suspected that the singer fell down the stairs.

Nahim was born in 1952, in the city of Miguelópolis, inland from São Paulo. He started playing at the age of 10, with the musical group New Edition.

The singer gained popularity in the 1980s, when he participated in talk shows and won the award What is the song?from the Silvio Santos Program, on SBT.

Some of the singer’s hit songs are Shut up, Put your heart AND Taka Taka. In total, she has released more than 14 albums and 86 songs.
