According to a note from the Federal Institute Farroupilha, a former participant of the BBB 24 He would have entered college in 2014 through the quota law by declaring himself black – which he is not. At the time, the only document required to prove ethnicity was a declaration made by the student himself.

Matteus then defended himself: “Information recently emerged that, in 2014, I was enrolled in the Agricultural Engineering course at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Farroupilha under the quota modality for blacks. This note is intended to clarify the circumstances of this registration and express my position on the matter”the text began.

“The registration was made by a third party, who made a mistake by selecting the racial quota mode without my consent or prior knowledge. I understand the fundamental importance of quota policies in Brazil. Therefore, I deeply regret any impression that I might have sought to take unfair advantage of this policy, which was never my intention”, continuous.

“I reiterate my regret for any inconvenience caused and my continued commitment to actively support racial and social equality. I appreciate the opportunity to clarify this matter and apologize for any misunderstandings that may have occurred.”he concluded.
