Ralf, Chrystian’s former duo, mourns the singer’s death: ‘Dear brother, we couldn’t say goodbye’

Ralf, 63, took to his Instagram account to pay tribute and mourn his brother, former theater duo, Chrystian, who died at the age of 67, this Wednesday, the 19th.

In the post he chose a black and white image with the then duo on stage.

“My dear brother… We have always done our best. Given our commitments, unfortunately we were unable to say goodbye… But I am sure that our ‘Father’ will guide you towards the light with the Lord Jesus! Rest in peace, my brother Chrystian,” Ralph wrote.

He and Chrystian performed together from 1983 to 2021, when they separated. The duo’s first official album was released in 1983. Throughout their career, their songs have appeared on the soundtracks of soap operas such as Cavalo de Aço and O Rei do Gado.

The death of Cristiano

The singer Chrystian, Ralf’s former duo, died at the age of 67, on the night of Wednesday 19th. He was hospitalized at the Samaritano hospital in Sao Paulo.

A statement signed by the singer’s family and team was released in the early hours of Thursday 20th. Read below:

“With immense regret, Chrystian’s family and team announce the death of our beloved husband, father and artist, which occurred at Samaritan Hospital, São Paulo.

Chrystian dedicated 60 years of his life to country music, building a brilliant career marked by countless successes.

His unmistakable voice and passion for music have brought joy and enthusiasm to fans across Brazil.

Throughout his career, Chrystian has been constantly on the road, sharing his talent and charisma in countless shows, where he has won over and enchanted generations of admirers.

In this moment of deep pain we find comfort in the memories of happy moments and in the songs he left us.

We sincerely thank all the support, affection and respect we receive from fans, friends and professional colleagues.

Chrystian will live forever in our hearts and through his music, which will continue to inspire and move everyone.”
