Compatriot Chrystian, who died last Wednesday, aged 19, was Gretchen’s first husband and one of the artist’s most problematic in the early 1980s. The details of the union between the two were revealed in the book “Gretchen: A Biography Almost Unauthorized” (. 2015).

Chrystian, Ralf’s former partner, and Gretchen married in 1981, when the singer was 22 years old. The compatriot was 25 years old. The union, which lasted just a few months, ended after Gretchen discovered the artist’s affairs with the chacretes, the presenter Chacrinha’s stage assistants.

“He not only admitted it, but confirmed that it was not his first extramarital fling,” she said in the book. “Many of them had passed by the bed in which we slept together. In fact, I don’t think she spared any of them (…) she also had the courage to declare that she had only had sex with Rita (Cadillac).

After discovering the affair, the twerking queen decided to end the marriage. “Worse still was realizing that the man I had married was not the type who was satisfied with just one woman to establish himself as a man. In front of the cameras he had shown himself to be a husband, but, once he returned home, he filled the bed of our women. (…) I was so traumatized that, for a long time, I didn’t want to hear the word marriage”, continues the singer in the book.

The death of Cristiano

The singer died this Wednesday, aged 19, at the age of 67. According to the Samaritano Higienópolis Hospital, the cause of death was septic shock due to pneumonia aggravated by comorbidities.
