Tim Maia’s heir speaks out after mother denies affair with singer: ‘Unfounded accusations’

Carmelo Maia is in charge of managing the artist’s estate; he died in 1998

After Tim Maia’s ex-wife, Geisa Gomes, revealed that Carmelo Maia, the singer’s sole heir, is not the artist’s biological son, the producer decided to speak out. In a video posted on social media, he stated that the accusations are “unfounded”.

“I watched the interview recently. I’m in my car, not driving, on my way to work. But the interview seems like unfounded accusations and thoughts to follow,” he said.

Tim Maia’s heir also spoke about his mother’s lack of affection: “As I once told my children’s mother: ‘I could inherit my father’s entire inheritance and win at Mega-Sena, but I would never be able to realize my dream.’ My children’s mother did not understand and asked: ‘But why such a big dream?’ if you have it, love cannot be bought.'”

The answer was given after the shocking revelation made by Geisa Gomes last Sunday, 30, in an interview with the program Spectacular Sunday.

According to Geisa, Carmelo would not be the biological son of the artist, who died in 1998. “With Tim, I don’t think I had any [filho]”, she said, when asked how many children she would have with the musician.

She also revealed that she does not have a good relationship with Carmelo and that she even asked her son for R$ 500 of Tim Maia’s inheritance “to buy some medicine”, a request that was not granted.

Carmelo is the sole person responsible for the artist’s assets. He is in legal disputes with Leo Maia, raised by Tim and fighting for the recognition of emotional paternity.
