Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons have formalized their marriage. The couple’s teams confirmed the wedding on Friday night (7/8), after the ceremony was leaked.
The revelation of the wedding was made by Page Six. The New York Post’s celebrity website learns they got married quietly last weekend at Jamaica’s GoldenEye luxury resort after sharing six years of their life and two children together.
The couple began dating in 2016, after starring together in the second season of “Fargo”, and got engaged the following year. They have since had four-year-old Ennis and 14-month-old James.
In February, Dunst told the Los Angeles Times that she planned to get married soon.
“We are called husband and wife,” Dunst said at the time. “But we have to get married. It’s ridiculous. We just didn’t plan a wedding. There was Covid, then we had another child. I didn’t want to be pregnant, get married, have a party and not be able to have fun with everyone,” she said.
With all this, they ended up getting married first in the movies: in the plot of “Attack of the Dogs”, which also earned them both Oscar nominations 2022.
After the successful partnership on this film, the actress said she is looking forward to working with Plemons again on another production.
“We have some ideas and Jesse and I really want to do another project,” Dunst told the Hollywood Reporter. “He is my favorite actor to work with.”
