American Rapper Murdered After Revealing His Address to Meet Fans

The American rapper Green Alliaunabetter known as Tan DaGod, was shot and killed on Saturday, January 20, during a meet and greet she held for her fans at a beauty supply store in Oakland, California. The rapper succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.

Approximately six masked men approached the artist outside the store and, according to several witnesses, reported that they did so NBCargued with Alliauna before the shooting. The Oakland Police Department, which is in charge of the case, has not disclosed a motive for the crime.

On her Instagram, Alliauna posted the date and location of her performance, showing the store opening. One of the company’s employees commented that he heard gunshots, but thought they were part of the music.

“Then I heard three really loud gunshots. I think I heard the rapper [Tan DaGod] screaming ‘I’ve been hit,’ and remained on the ground until rescuers arrived,” she told the American newspaper Daily Mail.

Also present at the incident was the owner of a nearby restaurant, Sul Cho, who told the newspaper, “He was just aiming at her, because I saw him. He wasn’t shooting at everyone, he was just shooting her,” she added. Despite Cho’s testimony, the Oakland Police Department’s investigation has not yet been completed.

Fans of the artist have speculated about Daily Mailon the possible involvement of Alliauna’s ex-boyfriend in the crime. The rapper was arrested in 2020, after shooting his then-boyfriend in self-defense. In his latest EP, Tan DaGod addresses the subject: “‘You should have never died. You should have never played with me because then I have to take it to the third degree,” which in Portuguese means: “You should have never died. You should have never messed with me, so I’m going to take it to the ‘third degree’ (an expression used when questioning a suspect during a police investigation).
