Regina Duarte lives a night of redemption when she meets her Globo colleagues in Rio

On Tuesday night (6), at the Livraria Travessa, in Rio, the presentation of the book ‘O Lado B de Boni’ took place, with memories of television executive José Bonifácio de Oliveira Sobrinho, former vice-president of Globo and director of TV Vanguarda, the station’s branch in the interior of São Paulo.

Regina Duarte appeared and attracted glances and flashes. She received affection from the author of the play and former collaborators, such as Nívea Maria and Narjara Turetta. Playwright Gloria Perez also welcomed the actress, as did director Daniel Filho.

After being rejected by left-wing actors and “cancelled” by Globo on several occasions, such as the launch of old productions on Globoplay and the homage to the novelist Manoel Carlos, the artist experienced a sort of redemption among famous and anonymous people looking for Boni’s Autograph. His presence caused a stir.

With no prospect of returning to television, Regina Duarte devotes herself to the visual arts. She produces canvases with elements of nature, such as seeds, flowers and bark. On social media, she continues to defend the legacy of former President Jair Bolsonaro, for whom she was briefly Secretary of Culture in 2020.
