Preta Gil Announces Return to Cancer Treatment: ‘I’m Counting on Prayers’

This Thursday 22nd Preta Gil announced on her official Instagram feed that she will have to resume cancer treatment. The 50-year-old singer was diagnosed with bowel cancer in January last year.

On social media, Preta explained that she had been admitted to the Sírio-Libanês Hospital in São Paulo to undergo routine tests, and had to return with the procedures.

“This week I was admitted to the Sírio-Libanês Hospital, in São Paulo, for routine tests and it was found that I had to resume oncology treatment,” began.

“I am well and I am monitored by the teams of Prof. Dr. Roberto Kalil Filho, Dr. Roberta Saretta, Dr. Fernanda Cunha Capareli Dr. Frederico José Ribeiro Teixeira Junior”, continuous.
