Mariah Carey Prepares a Surprise for Brazil Shows: “It’s Going to Be an Incredible Experience”

The singer Mariah Carey said she was excited to meet Brazilian fans again. In Brazil for the fifth time, Mariah will perform in September in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, debuting in Rock in Rio. “I’ve always heard about the festival, when I found out I had the opportunity I was so excited! I’m sure it will be an incredible experience,” she said.

In an interview with FantasticThe singer declined to reveal further details about the shows, but said she has heard requests from Brazilian fans. Mariah revealed she will surprise the crowd by singing their favorite songs, but did not reveal which songs were chosen.

“Brazilian fans are wonderful. I try to communicate with them as much as possible. I don’t understand, but I have a Brazilian friend who tells me everything they say,” he said.

In addition to her excitement about returning to the Brazilian stage, Mariah was also happy about her reunion with the kitchen, especially with rice and beans and cheese bread.

The singer said she has many memories of Brazil and highlighted her first visit, in 1999, when she financed the shows herself, since the record company at the time did not approve of performances in the country. The surprise of the agents came later when they saw the success with the Brazilian public. “It was one of my favorite trips,” she recalls. “Every time I go to Brazil it’s incredible and that’s why I can’t wait to go back.”

In March, when she was announced as the headliner of Rock in Rio, the singer took to social media to express her excitement for her return. “Brazil, I’m coming! I’m so excited to finally be back in Brazil.”
