On the eve of her 64th birthday, former ‘Playboy’ muse Simone Carvalho does not rule out a return to soap operas, but poses one condition

This September 16, Globoplay released the original version of ‘Tieta’, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the debut of Aguinaldo Silva’s soap opera, loosely based on Jorge Amado’s novel. One of the highlights of the plot was Bebê, the mysterious and seductive character of Simone Carvalho.

After years without news, she resurfaced in an article on ‘Domingo Record’, a program by Rachel Sheherazade. The actress will turn 64 in October. She has been away from television fiction since 1998, when she made the miniseries “Do Fundo do Coração”, also on Record.

He commented on the long hiatus in his career. “Yes, I miss you. Good luck. It’s nice to remember. Not sadness, regret,” he told journalist Lorena Coutinho. “It was my choice to leave (television).”

An evangelical convert, Simone Carvalho has exchanged the allure of fame for sects and theology school. He has completely distanced himself from his old life. “I have no friends in the artistic world.”

She said she regrets almost nothing, but she would rather not have posed nude twice for Playboy magazine. “At the time, my children were a little hurt. I don’t know how, it got to school, they took the magazine. She was ashamed because they saw her mother (naked).”

As an adult, the boy, named Claudio, changed his mind about past sensual experiences. “Mom, I’m proud of you,” he said, according to the actress.

Thanks to her beauty and sensuality appreciated in film roles and soap operas such as “Cabocla” and “Paraíso”, Simone Carvalho became one of the most desired women of the 70s and 80s, arousing passion even in Pelé.

“We met at the carnival ball at (club) Monte Virgínia, we were on the jury together, then we started ‘tititi-tititi,’ exchanging phone numbers, and right after that I went out with him,” she recalled.

The player expressed his desire to get married. “We started talking about what it would be like (the ceremony). I love getting married, being at home, taking care of my husband.” But the relationship ended shortly after.

Life off TV has had its ups and downs for Simone Carvalho. “God has given me good and bad experiences,” he said. “I was very rich, with a lot of money, and very poor.”

He had a boutique in a high-end mall, a buffet, a gym, and a theater company. When he was short on money, he worked as an app driver and hand-made customized slippers to pay the bills.

Today she teaches in her living room. Most of the students live in the same building. The actress does not rule out a return to soap operas, on one condition: to record only brief appearances. “I don’t think about that long thing, 1 year. And my boys and girls? What do I do with my little ones? I love teaching.”
