In Tuesday’s edition (1), the ‘Jornal Nacional’ highlighted the technical problem of the official plane carrying Lula and his entourage after taking off from Mexico City.

Called VC-1 by the Brazilian Air Force, the Airbus A319 was manufactured in Germany and delivered to the government in January 2005. Its configuration allows it to carry 40 passengers.
