Leonardo talks about involvement in slave labor; clock

Leonardo recorded a video on the topic on social media

In the afternoon of this Monday 7th, the singer Leonardo60, released a statement in response to allegations of forced labor relating to one of his rural properties.

The compatriot’s name was included in the “dirty list” of the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE), which identifies employers accused of labor exploitation.

“In 2022, I rented the farm so that the tenant could plant soybeans, corn or whatever he wanted. If I give him the farm, he has the right to plant whatever he wants, understand?”, he said in the video.

“Suddenly I received a visit from the Public Prosecutor of Labor, with all due respect to you. They were very welcome on my farm and a fine was written to me, since I am the owner of the farm. But not of Fazenda Talismã, but Fattoria Lacca, where I rented the soybeans, do you understand?” he explained, underlining that, despite the fine issued by the MPT, the situation has already been resolved.

“Until then we respect the Prosecutor’s Office and everything else, but this fine for me… We have settled everything, even if it is already archived. Everything settled, we paid the fine”he underlined.

“I don’t know who was in those little houses, or who put them there, because guys, I already planted the tomatoes. I know what life is like, it’s hard, and from the bottom of my heart, he would never do something like that, understand?”has completed.
