“I’m Still Here” wins a new international award at the Canadian festival


The Brazilian film starring Fernanda Torres, “I’m Still Here”, wins another international award; this time, at a festival in Canada

elThe first original film Globalplay, I’m still herewon the award Audience Award – Special Presentation node Vancouver International Film Festival. The film directed by Walter Salles won the category after counting more than 40 thousand votes. However, they were in sessions meant to recognize the audience’s favorite stories.




This is the second award featuring the story Fernanda Torresnext to Selton Mellowins. In September, the plot won in the category Best screenplay node Venice Film Festival 2024. The screenplay, based on the book of the same name published by Marcelo Rubens Paivatells the exciting journey of Eunice Paivamother of the writer, who helped redefine the history of Brazil.

Furthermore, the Brazilian Film Academy selected I’m still here to the list of twelve feature films eligible to compete for a nomination in the film category Best international film node Oscars 2025. The film will be released in Brazilian cinemas on November 7.
