The future of Prince George it will probably be as monarch of the United Kingdom. At 11, however, the boy has a very different desire than that of ascending the throne: he wants to be a pizza chef. At least that’s what a restaurant owner told the newspaper Daily Mail.

Desmond MacCarthy, owner of Wiveton Hall Café, near Blakeney, revealed the successor to the throne couldn’t hide his excitement at seeing a wood-fired pizza oven when visiting the venue.

According to the entrepreneur, George pointed to the structure and immediately decided: “This is what I want to do when I grow up!” The boy went to the restaurant accompanied by his mother, Princess Kate Middleton, and other people.

“They came here with their friends because Sandringham isn’t that far away,” MacCarthy said, referring to one of the royal family’s properties.

Even if he ever wants to try his hand at pizza making, George will have to show off his skills in another kitchen. Although popular in the UK, Wiveton Hall Café will close its doors next month, after 17 years in business.

“It’s sad when things change, but I think that over time something different will happen. There has been an increase in costs, with electricity very high, and it has become more difficult to hire employees. Even though we had a very demanding, it is difficult to manage a business 12 months a year if it is seasonal and profitable only for a few months”, explained the owner to the British portal.

Prince William, Kate Middleton and their children George, Charlotte and Louis are pizza lovers. Last year, the family’s parents even sent a letter to the widow of a pizza seller who died of cancer.
