These actresses played the “Caucasian captive”, but could not repeat Varley’s success

Few people know that the first role of Natalia Varley was the role of student Nina from the legendary film “Prisoner of the Caucasus”. Surprisingly, before this photo, the actress had never acted in films: Natalya performed in the circus.

In the 2014 version of Prisoner of the Caucasus, student Nina was played by Anastasia Zadorozhnaya. The creators of the picture unanimously assured that their work was not a remake, but the audience, of course, always compared the original and the new version. And… Zadorozhnaya lost. Many have noted: Anastasia does not have the charisma that Natalia had.

“Flee, catch up, fall in love” is a 2015 film whose plot is painfully reminiscent of “Prisoner of the Caucasus”. The story is as follows: Boris runs away from his Austrian fiancée to the North Caucasus, where, by chance, he becomes the music teacher of a local girl, Nina. Nina does not want to marry the groom found by her father and tries with all her might to delay the wedding. Boris helps her in this: he decides to rob Nina according to local custom, and now they are forced to hide not only from her fiancé, but also from Boris’ suddenly arrived bride.

Daughter Nina was played by Lyubov Aksyonova. Failure awaited not only the film itself, but also its main character. So, how are you.
