First a foot, now an arm and a hand: Bonner gets injured after running

The presenter revealed the incident in a post that received dozens of comments

William Bonner is “on the move.” On a social network, the host and editor-in-chief of the ‘Jornal Nacional’ showed the result of a road accident in Rio.

“A stumble 400 meters from home, after 8 km of exercise,” he explained. The fall immobilized his arm and hand.

“Just to take a break at the end of the year, right, Bonner?,” one follower joked. “Securing the certificate for the end of year holidays, now changing it to Carnival,” another fan scoffed.

‘Uncle Bonner’, as he calls himself, should stay away from the newspapers for a while. The presenter turned 61 in November.

In September 2017 the journalist broke his foot. He had to wear orthopedic boots. It took 8 weeks of treatment, away from TV, until he recovered.

Last Sunday (15), he made a special appearance at the “Best of the Year” award at “Domingão do Faustão”. On Friday (20th), he was replaced on the ‘JN’ bench by his colleague Heraldo Pereira.
